Quatre and I stood over our creation. He was beautiful. His hair, which we had made for special materials, was long and if he was standing would read his butt. We currently have it in a braid to keep it out of the way. His eyes, though closed right now, were a purple-bluish color and pretty much the only sign that he wasn't human but when I saw they color I had instantly knew that was the color I wanted them to be. He laying naked except for a sheet that lay of his lower body. He is in every sense of the word male.
Looking away from him, I pick up cloths that I had brought to the lad and turn to Quatre. “ Do you want to dress him now or wait until after we start him up?”
Quatre thought for a moment before answering. “ I think we should do it now. We don't know how he will react about being naked.” I nodded and we dresses him. The cloths were nothing fancy just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Once he was dressed we moved to stand on either side of his head. “Are you ready?” I nodded once again and leaned over to look down at his face. While Quatre moved his hand to slide it under his neck and put the code in for turning him on. Once done Quatre removed his hand and took a step back to watch.
For a minute there was nothing and then slowly the eyes started to opens. “ Status?” I asked knowing that I would get a prompt reply.
“All systems green.” He replied his voice slightly cold sounding from the way he replied but that was normal. It would sound more human as he started gaining more personality.
“System check.” I said and waited.
It took a minute for him to reply. “All systems operational.” I smiled.
“What is your name?” I had asked to switch him out of thinking like a computer. Only certain phrases like status and system checks would make him revert back to thinking and speaking like that.
He thought for a moment before answering. “Duo.” He smiled brightly. “What is yours?”
“Heero.” I replied while I continued smiling down at him. “ Do you know what you are?”
“Cyborg prototype one.” Was his reply. Well at least he knew what he was.
“Good, can you please sit up?” Asked Quatre getting Duo's attention.
“Hello, my name is Duo.” He said as he sat up and smiled at Quatre. “ What is your name?”
“Quatre, it is nice to meet you Duo.”
“Nice to meet you too.” He turned to look at me. “Will we be here long?”
I smiled. “We shouldn't be. Just need to run a few tests and then we were planning to go out for a while. Would you like to join us Duo?” His smile brightened even more and nodded excitedly.
It didn't take us long to run though the test we had to do and once done we got ready to leave. Quatre and I had decided that we would take Duo out for dinner and then he would come back to my house with me. I already had a room set up for him and tomorrow I had plans to take him out shopping for cloths and other little items to make him feel more at home.
